Border Home Guard jawans attacked, one killed

A Border Home Guard jawan was today killed and two others were injured when a group of people allegedly engaged in illegal mining attacked them with iron rods in Rajasthan`s Bharatpur district, police said.

Jaipur: A Border Home Guard jawan was
today killed and two others were injured when a group of people allegedly engaged in illegal mining attacked them with iron rods in Rajasthan`s Bharatpur district, police said.

"Following information from mining department, the
jawans had gone to a hilly area to check illegal mining where
the people involved in the illegal work attacked them, and
snatched one rifle," Circle Officer Bayana Rajesh Choudhary
said.

Dilip Kumar, the victim, died on the way to hospital
while two were hospitalised where their condition is stated to
be out of danger, the officer said, adding police are looking
for the culprit.
