Jaipur: Hitting out at Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on the financial situation of the state, her Congress predecessor Ashok Gehlot on Sunday demanded from her a "white paper" on the fiscal management of his government.
"Raje used to say that the state exchequer was left empty by the previous Congress government, then I demand that the Raje government should bring a white paper on our fiscal management and show it to public without any delay", Gehlot told reporters.
"If we have committed blunder on economic front, then it should be exposed on paper so that truth may prevail", he said after an event at the PCC here.
By harping on her statement on "empty state coffer" every now and then, CM (Raje) is "killing time" of her tenure and not doing any thing major, Gehlot said.
Despite having a majority in the Assembly, the BJP government has not made any progress in the last one year and two months, Gehlot claimed.
A big project of a refinery was stuck, and previous UPA government's project of Rs 40,000 crore were blocked by the state government, he alleged.
Right to Information, Right to Hearing, Lokseva Guarantee Act, and many other acts were blocked by the BJP government, he further accused.
Raje government was running after big investors for the state, but she was not making or continuing the older projects initiated by his government and Manmohan Singh's UPA government, he added.
