Cabinet reshuffle: Gehlot meets Sonia

New Delhi: Amid controversies surrounding communal riots and an alleged sleaze that led to the sacking of one on his ministers, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot Thursday night met Congress president Sonia Gandhi here.

There was no official word on the meeting which assumes significance as a cabinet reshuffle in Rajasthan government is likely very soon.

Two Rajasthan ministers had to go under controversial circumstances in the last few months.

Water Resources Minister Mahipal Madrena, who was suspected to be involved in the case of mysterious disappearance of nurse Bhanwari Devi, was sacked by the Chief Minister on October 16.

Another senior minister Amin Khan had to go after he created a stir with his controversial statement in February this year suggesting that President Pratibha Patil got the top post due to her proximity with Congress president Sonia
Gandhi.
