Jaipur: Congress on Wednesday condemned the forcible eviction of a rape victim in Jalore who was on a hunger strike demanding action against the accused, who is also reported to be her relative, in a case last year.

Rajasthan Congress president Sachin Pilot in a statement said the victim was demanding justice but she got no relief and instead she was forcibly taken from there by the policemen which was condemnable.

He said the party would launch an agitation if the accused, is not arrested at the earliest by the police.

The married woman, aged around 25 years, was on strike in front of sub-divisional officer's officers in Sanchor town when she was forcibly taken to a hospital by police team on Monday.
