Jaipur: Eight persons were today killed and two others injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling collided head-on with a container in Rajasthan`s Chittorgarh district, 322 kms from here.
The victims were on their way to Bhilwara after attending a marriage function when the mishap occurred near Satkanda village on Chittorgarh-Nimbahera highway, police said.
The eight deceased have been identified as Sukhpal (35), Satya Narayan (38), Cheetar (50), Hakim Chand (45), Rajesh (30), Govind (30), Raju (38) and Mahaveer (35).
The injured were hospitalised in Udaipur where their condition was stated to be critical, they added.
