Banaskantha: A local court in Danta today
sent four Rajasthan policemen on ten days police remand in
connection with alleged fake encounter of Tulsiram Prajapati,
a key witness in Sohrabuddin case.
The cops had surrendered at the local court of Danta
on Friday last, and were sent to police custody, Deputy
Superintendent of Police- CID crime R K Patel said.
All the four police personnel from Rajasthan including
assistant sub inspector of police Narayansingh Chauhan,
Dalpatsingh Rathod, Kartarsingh Jat and Yuddhaveersingh Rajput
were posted at Udaipur police station in Rajasthan and are
suspected to be involved in the encounter of Prajapati.
Former superintendent of police Udaipur Dinesh M N
is also an accused in the Prajapati murder case.
Prajapati, who was considered to be a key witness in
Sohrabuddin fake encounter case, was killed in an encounter
near Chapri village near Ambaji in Banaskantha district when
he tried to escape from custody while being shifted from
Rajasthan to Gujarat in December 2006.
