Gehlot directs to conduct survey of damage by heavy rain

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has directed officials to conduct a survey of the damage caused by heavy rainfall in the state and provide immediate relief to the affected people.

damage caused by heavy rainfall in the state and provide
immediate relief to the affected people.

He also asked to release financial help of Rs one lakh
to the family of the victims of heavy rain as per the
provisions of Calamity Relief Fund (CRF).

Presiding over State Disaster Management Authority
meeting here yesterday, Gehlot reviewed the situation of
rainfall and sowing of crop, water level in various dams,
forecast of monsoon, swine flu and seasonal diseases, crop
insurance and other related issues, and directed officials to
take all necessary steps to provide relief to affected people,
an official said today.

The CM instructed officials to ensure availability of
adequate electricity in Rabi season.

Reviewing situation of swine flu in the state, Gehlot
asked officials to keep a track of the patients for better
screening.

Ration distribution through PDS shops, state of
seasonal disease were among other topics Gehlot discussed with
officials.

State Ministers Harji Ram Burdak (Agriculture), A A
Khan (Medical and Health), Bharat Singh (Rural Development and
Panchayti Raj), Mahipal Madera (Water Resources), Chief
Secretary T Srinivasan were among others present in the
meeting.
