Jaipur: A delegation of Gujjars, led by Kirori Bainsla, on Tuesday night held a meeting with Rajasthan ministers Rajendra Rathore and Hem Singh Bhadana over the issue of reservation.
The meeting, held at the residence of Bhadana, ended on a positive note as the Gujjars agreed to discuss the issue further with legal experts tomorrow to make sure that the case is represented strongly in favour of the community during the next hearing in high court where the issue is subjudice.
"we will discuss legal aspects of the issue tomorrow in a meeting with legal experts and government representatives," Himmat Singh Gujjar, an aide of Bainsla, told PTI.
Gujjars have been sitting on a 'mahapadav' in Karauli district since Sunday to press for their demand of reservation.
Himmat Singh said the decision about the mahadav, whether it will continue or not, will be taken tomorrow after the meeting with legal experts and the government.
