Gujjar’s new war cry - `Chalo Jaipur` Zeenews Bureau

Jaipur: Gujjar reservation row appears set to hit Rajasthan once again. Community leader Kirori Singh Bainsla, who is sitting on a dharna in Dausa, has threatened to take a march to the state capital Jaipur if the government fails to fulfil their demand for five per cent quota for the community in government jobs by Tuesday.

"We have been sitting peacefully since Sunday and gave the government two days to fulfil our demand. If the demand is not met during this period, then we will move towards statue circle in Jaipur," Bainsla said.

Bainsla is sitting on a dharna along with his supporters to press 11 demands, including withdrawal of cases against all those involve in previous agitations on quota.

Bainsla, who took the step after a Mahapanchayat in Bhandarej town, said, "We have been cheated by the government every time. We want a clear answer -- yes or no -- to our main demand."

"The government promised us in January this year a quantifiable data collection exercise to justify quota for us as directed by the High Court.

"But the process has not been completed so far," he said.

Over 5,000 people participated in the meeting and hundreds were staging the sit-in with Bainsla.

You are correct Abhinav.I have seen so many gujjar places at Rajasthan and really they need urgent help from govt. It`s lack of our representative in Rajasthan Govt that causes this delay. In current Scenerio, Unity is the only mantra to achieve this and Rajasthan Gujjars have to vote only to that party who come forward with them.

Why are we choosing our representatives? Just because they are of our cast. Where they were when thousands of people were agitating for the reservation and many of them lost their lives and landed in jails. Politicos came forward that time but where are they now. If govt. is not in their control, why didn`t they resign? Because they are selfish. They will come to us again during elections. This is the time we should keep them down.

This is called dirty politics. Why all Gujjar representatives (including Sachin Pilot) in Lok Sabha are dumb on this issue.? They come to the community only when they have their own interests. This is the time to identify the true people. And make them understand that they cannot make us fool any more.

It`s quite dissapointed that despite the bad social and economic condition of The Gujjars in Rajasthan, Government is not ready to take a note. Besides, the agitations been made in past too state has suffered a lot of disruptions in terms of law and order and day to day life of the common people, Though Government has promised earlier but didn`t implement the correct policy. Since, Government failed to satisfy their demands, this community will be probably be on roads again.
