Jaipur: A local court has issued notices
against nine persons including a senior IPS officer, who are evading arrest in connection with the alleged fake encounter
of a criminal Dara Singh in 2006.

The CBI court issued notices yesterday against
suspended IPS officer A K Jain and Additional SP Arshad Ali,
and others namely Sardar Singh, Vijay Singh, Subhash Godara,
Rajesh Choudhary, Badriprasad, Jagram and Julfikar Ali,
directing them to be present before the court on July 5.

The court has already issued warrant against them but the CBI could not apprehend any of them so far.
Six accused, including an IPS officer A Ponnychamy
have been arrested so far while the others are evading arrest.

On a petition filed by Dara`s widow Sushila, the
Supreme Court had ordered a CBI probe into the case.
She had alleged her husband was picked from his house
by the police and killed by the Special Operation Group (SOG)
in October 2006.

The investigation agency has filed a charge sheet in a
local court in which it has also named a BJP MLA and former
minister Rajendra Rathore, but did not make him an accused.
