Kota: Another grim news has come from the coaching centre hub of Kota in Rajasthan.

A Class 10, 14-year-old student committed suicide on Monday by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at a paying guest accommodation in Mahaveer Nagar.

Bhanu Singh from Bihar's Saharsa was enrolled at a coaching centre for a medical entrance test foundation course.

Bhanu had been studying at the coaching centre for the past one year but it is not yet clear whether stress drove him to commit suicide.

Circle inspector Bhanwar Singh told Hindustan Times that the reason behind the suicide was not known as the student did not leave behind any suicide note.

Kota has become infamous for student suicides due to exam-related stress.

As per HT, three suicides have been reported in Kota over the past one week, and 20 this year.
