Jaipur: Twenty labourers from Rajasthan
are stranded in Libya after a company refused to pay their
salaries for six months, a legislator today told the state
assembly.
Demanding that the Centre take immediate steps to
bring the Indians back, BJP MLA Rajkumar said the labourers
have been abandoned by their employer and were without food
and other facilities.
"The labourers are facing a tough time and their
families are in a state of shock," he said and pressed for
immediate diplomatic efforts to ensure that they return to the
country and are given their due wages.
