Mercury dips further in Raj, Churu shivers at 2 degrees

Jaipur: Temperature dipped in many parts of Rajasthan with icy winds keeping people indoors, while Churu was the coldest place recording a minimum of 2 degrees Celsius.

The sole hill station of Mount Abu recorded a minimum of 1.8 degree Celsius, around 3 degrees lower than previous night's 5.

People in Sriganganagar shivered at 3 degrees Celsius, around 4 notches below the previous night's 7.1, according to a MeT department official.

Bikaner, Pilani, Jaisalmer, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Barmer and Jaipur recorded a minimum of 4.5, 5.5, 6.3, 7.8, 8, 8.5 and 8.7 degrees Celsius respectively.

The weatherman has predicted that the conditions would remain same with icy winds blowing across the state during next 24 hours.
