Missing IAS officer Navin Jain found in Chandigarh
The IAS officer had gone missing on Tuesday from a restaurant at Jaipur-Delhi national highway, leaving his wife and son as he was depressed due to a problem in getting government accommodation.
Chandigarh: Having remained untraceable for five days, the missing IAS officer from Rajasthan, Navin Jain has been found in Chandigarh, police said on Sunday.
Naveen Jain, a 2001 batch IAS officer, went missing on Tuesday from a restaurant at Jaipur-Delhi national highway in Alwar district leaving his wife and son.
Navin jain came to know about his wife who was admitted to SMS government
hospital here for hypertension and stress, when he met his friend Surpreet in Chandigarh.Following which, he called his wife over phone, assuring that he was fine, said IGP Rajiv Dasot.
"Jain informed that he was leaving for his parental house
in Narwana village in Haryana. His wife also left for the
place," the IGP said.
The IAS officer Jain who hails from Haryana, was posted as commissioner in the settlement department at Jaipur, had left a note in his car for his wife Sunita and son Gautam regretting the fact that he had not been able to provide them accommodation.
Jain’s family had registered a missing complaint with local police station after which the search operations had been started. Many teams had been rushed to several places in New Delhi and Haryana in search of the officer.
