MLA`s bus attacked by stone pelters, 2 arrested

Two persons were on Sunday arrested for allegedly hurling stones at a bus in which independent MLA and former minister Golma Devi was touring Rajasthan`s Pratapgarh district.

Jaipur: Two persons were on Sunday arrested for allegedly hurling stones at a bus in which independent MLA and former minister Golma Devi was touring Rajasthan`s Pratapgarh district.
Two of the MLA`s supporters received mild injuries in the attack which also damaged the windowpanes of the bus.

Two other vehicles were also damaged in the incident which occurred late last nigh in Arnod, police said.

"(Two persons) Karu and Bhairulal were arrested while we are searching for others who might be involved in the stone pelting," said Pratapgarh SP Praveeen Sharma.

The MLA`s aides have alleged that a mob of around 20 people had attacked the convoy, the SP added.

Golma Devi is the wife of independent MP and tribal leader Kirodi Lal Meena.
She has been holding her `Vijay Sankalp yatra` in the tribal areas of Udaipur region since May 23.

Meena was not present with Golma when the incident occurred.
