Silchar: A motorcyclist was killed and his pillion rider was seriously injured when their bike collided with a truck here today in Cachar district, police sources said.
The motorcyclist Pranab Roy (25) was killed on the spot at the Rangirkari area after the collision with the truck, the source said.
Angry local people set the truck on fire, they said adding to control the situation police resorted to mild lathicharge.
The injured person was admitted to the Silchar Medical College Hospital.
