Jaipur: The Rajasthan Legislative Assembly is likely to witness a stormy budget session with opposition BJP gearing up to corner the state government on several issues.

We will corner the government over several issues, including poor governance, corruption of ministers among others, Deputy Leader of Opposition Ghanshyam Tiwari said.

The Session will begin from February 27 and the Opposition has called their meeting a day before to finalise its strategy.

"The government is poor in performance and ministers are involved in corruption. A recent example of Khadi and Gramodogya minister who threatened and abused a man few days back is there to highlight," Tiwari said.

He said that the Opposition will demand a long Session to debate on all important issues.

"We have several issues over which we will try to push the government to the corner and we will finalise our strategy in a meeting on February 26," he said.

Chief Whip (Congress) in the Assembly, Raghu Sharma, said that the first meeting of Business Advisory Committee (BAC) will take place on February 27 after the Session in which agenda and days of sitting will be decided.

On the other hand, elaborate security arrangements have been made in and around the Assembly premises for the Session.
