Sunit Bagai, a Petrol pump dealers' association representative said 3,000 pumps and 400 gas agencies are participating in the strike.
"We demand from the state government to withdraw its decision to increase security deposit from Rs 1,000 to Rs 50,000 for the license of petrol pump, and from Rs 1,000 to Rs 25,000 for the license of gas agency," he said.
Bagai said that turnover worth crores of rupees will be affected due to the strike.
Jaipur: Petrol pump and gas agency owners in Rajasthan began 24-hour strike from mid-night against the state government's decision to hike security deposit for the licence of petrol pumps and gas agencies.
