Police constable arrested for taking Rs 50,000 bribe

Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths caught a police constable red-handed while he was allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 50,000, an official said on Friday.

Jaipur: Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths caught a police constable red-handed while he was allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 50,000, an official said on Friday.

According to the ACB official, constable Ratiram, posted at the Jaipur Development Authority`s police station, was arrested yesterday.

The official said one Ranglal Gujjar had approached the ACB a few days ago claiming that the constable had demanded bribe of Rs 50,000 to help him get his land related papers in a legal case.

The accused was working as a reader at JDA police station. The accused was booked under the anti-corruption act, they said.
