Raj: BJP workers protest against MLA`s arrest

Supporters of jailed MLA Rajendra Rathore, arrested in connection with the Dara Singh fake encounter case, staged demonstrations at several places.

Bikaner: BJP workers and supporters of jailed
MLA Rajendra Rathore, arrested in connection with the Dara
Singh fake encounter case, on Friday staged demonstrations at
several places in Bikaner division.

A number of markets in Churu district remained closed in
protest against the arrest of Rathore, a five-time MLA.

The supporters led by BJP MP Arjun Meghwal blocked
Bikaner-Jaisalmer highway in Bikaner and shouted slogans
against the CBI and the Congress.

Sujangarh, Taranagar, Bisau, Rajgarh in Churu district
remained closed as the demonstrators also blocked roads at
some places affecting vehicular traffic.

BJP workers will demonstrate in all the districts in the
state tomorrow to protest against the MLA`s arrest.

Rathore was arrested yesterday by the CBI which also
promptly filed a charge sheet against him for his alleged
involvement in the fake encounter case of local liquor
smuggler Dara Singh in 2006.
