Raj DGP asks state police to execute court orders
Rajasthan DGP Harish Meena has directed all Range IGs and SPs to execute court orders, summons and notices in time.
Jaipur: Rajasthan DGP Harish Meena, who was
pulled by the High Court for police department`s failure to
serve summons to a man for the past 11 years, has directed all Range IGs and SPs to execute court orders, summons and notices in time.
He said that stern action will be if any officer was
found guilty of laxity.
Meena asked Additional DG (Crime) P K Vyas to monitor all
matters related to courts.
The Rajasthan High Court had rapped the DGP on Wednesday for failure of the state police to serve summons to an absconder for past 11 years. The court directed him to explain why police failed to serve the summons to Ramdas for the past 11 years.
