Jaipur: With mercury dipping by few degrees, people got respite from blistering heat in parts of the desert state of Rajasthan on Wednesday.
Churu remained the hottest with a day temperature of 42.3 degrees, while Sriganganagar and Bikaner recorded maximum of 41.6 and 39.7 degree Celsius, respectively, according to Met department.
Kota, Barmer and Jaipur recorded highs of 39.4, 39 and 38.7 degree Celsius, respectively, it said.
The Met department has forecast that weather in the state would remain mainly dry during the next 24 hours.
