Jaipur: Calling upon government officers to
perform duties honestly, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot
on Tuesday said that they should be sensitive towards solving the
problems of the people.
"District collectors should ensure that people do not
have to come to the chief minister or ministers with their
problems which can be solved at panchayat, sub-division, block
or district level," he said during the inaugural session of
the two-day conference of district collectors.
The high-level meeting of the district collectors also
discussed a number of ways to improve the implementation of
Mahatma Gandhi NREGA.
The officers should check corruption in the MGNREGA and
ensure that works of permanent nature be taken under the
scheme, which should be monitored effectively, Gehlot said.
