Three Arab horses, 51 cows among Jaswant`s assets

Jaipur: Three Arab horses and a herd of 51 Tharparkar cows are among the estimated Rs 1.5 crore movable assets owned by rebel BJP leader Jaswant Singh.

As per the affidavit filed by Singh as part of his nomination yesterday for the Barmer seat, the movable assets owned by him are valued at Rs 1,49,83,510.08, which includes Rs 51,570 cash in hand. Immovable property owned by Singh is worth Rs 6,14,50,000.

The value of the movable assets owned by his wife, Sheetal Kumari, is Rs 77,56,480.17 while her immovable assets stood at Rs 3,62,35,000.
The former Union minister has his herd of 51 Tharparkar cows kept at Jaisalmer and Barmer. As to the three Arab horses, two of them were gifted by the Prince of Saudi Arabia while the third one was born in India, according to Singh`s affidavit to Election Commission.

Tharparkar is an important dual-purpose breed of cow raised primarily for its milking potential. Its name has been derived from the place of its origin - the Thar desert.

Singh has also declared that he owns one tractor along with one Fiat, one Tata Safari and one Tata Marina car. His wife has three vehicles, including two Toyota Innovas, the affidavit stated.
According to the document, the couple has no liabilities.
