Jaipur: Three persons were killed and at least 29 injured when a false ceiling collapsed in a hotel here on Wednesday, police said.
"The incident occurred at around 1.40 pm in Hotel Fortune Park Bella Casa when a pre-wedding party was going on which was being attended by over 150 persons. Suddenly the false ceiling collapsed in which three persons were killed and at least 29 others were injured," a police official told IANS.
He said the condition of a couple of the injured is serious. "Other injured persons have been admitted in three different hospitals in the city," he added.
The false ceiling was made of cement, plaster of paris and glass.
It took a few hours to rescue the persons who were trapped under the debris.
