Jaipur: Attacking former Chief Minister
Vasundhara Raje for accusing the state government of draining
the state exchequer in the last one year, Rajathan Chief
Minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday said that she was losing self
control in anger.

He said that there was no sense in such remarks made
by a person who was "corrupt".

"There was rampant corruption from top to bottom in
her government and people know very well about all these. That
is why she was voted out in the Assembly elections. Now she is
losing her self control in anger," he told reporters on the
sidelines of a heritage conference at Jawarhar Kala Kendra

"Ministers of her own cabinet had levelled corruption
charges against Raje. Her government struck online deals,"
Gehlot alleged.

"The hype her government created for setting up IT
corridor and knowledge corridor was nothing but a mere gimmick
just to give land at throw away price by acquiring it from
the farmers," he said.

Gehlot claimed that this had led to the land prices
going up.

He said that his government had just wanted
clarifications from the previous BJP government about all
these allegations but Raje was yet to rebut them.

Raje had accused Gehlot yesterday of draining the
state exchequer and alleged that the Congress government
failed to achieve a single milestone in any sector in last one

The SP said at Mehmood`s direction, Gulam fled to
Afghanistan on parole and worked for Al-Qaeda between 2004 and
2005. During the period, he shuttled between Pakistan and
Afghanistan before returning to Hyderabad.

Police, who had been on his look out for long, later
traced him in Hyderabad and put him behind the bar once again,
Khan said.

On completion of jail term, Gulam went back to
Afghanistan, the police officer said.

He recently came to Purnia to cross over to Bangladesh
through Indo-Bangla border at Purnia, he said.

"We have requested the central agencies to share more
inputs about him," Khan said, adding that police would take
him on remand for further interrogation.
