Jaipur: Grand celebrations on Saturday took place at the BJP office here after the announcement that former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje would head the party in the state.
Raje`s supporters gathered at the office and congratulated each other. Fireworks lit the sky and some party workers danced to the beat of drums.
"Party workers across the state are charged with the high command`s right decision which was taken at right time.
She would be the state`s Chief Minister again because she is the leader of common man," Raje loyalist and MLA Rajendra Rathore told reporters.
MLA Digambar Singh said the party would perform well under her leadership.
"BJP will be able to win over 120 seats (out of total 200) in her leadership in upcoming assembly elections," Raje loyalist Bhawani Singh hoped.
