Jaipur: After Uttar Pradesh, now a new poster of Congress president Sonia Gandhi's daughter, Priyanka Vadra, was seen in Rajasthan too.

As per a report in Rajasthan Patrika, Priyanka is being compared to former PM Indira Gandhi  in the poster and was reportedly put up by Jaipur Congress' minority wing's vice president Nawab Baksh.

The poster, which has photos of both of them, said - "we see Indira in you". It had been put up at at the PCC gate on Monday morning.

However, as per the report, the poster was removed later after a controversy broke out.

Last month, The Times of India had reported that around 600 block presidents of the grand old party had urged master strategist Prashant Kishor to bring  Priyanka into the political arena.

While interacting with Kishor, the Congress members had supposedly said that bringing Priyanka into mainstream politics and assigning her the charge to lead in the crucial 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, would help the party in regaining the lost ground in the cow belt state.

However, there was no official confirmation of the same.

Meanwhile, preparing for Assembly polls in UP and Haryana, the Congress yesterday brought in veterans Ghulam Nabi Azad and Kamal Nath as general secretaries in-charge of the two states in a hierarchical shake-up as the party seeks to revive itself in the Hindi heartland after a string of electoral reverses.

Azad, Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, has been general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh twice before.

Kamal Nath will look after Haryana apart from Punjab, party general secretary Janaradan Dwivedi said.

Madhusudan Mistry, who was hitherto looking after UP, is the new general secretary in-charge of central election committee, while Shakeel Ahmed, in-charge of Punjab and Haryana, was been relieved of the charge.
