Rajkot: A woman, who claims to be the wife
of former Union Minister of State for Railways Naran Rathwa,
has lodged a complaint with police in Amreli, accusing Rathwa
of "harassing her physically and mentally".

No FIR has been filed in this connection yet, police
said.
Rekhaben Vaghela, the woman, has stated in the complaint
that she is married to Rathwa, a Congress leader, and filed a
case in family court for maintenance sometime ago.

Since then, Rathwa, with the help of local Congress
leaders and police, started harassing her "physically and
mentally", she says.
Vaghela alleged that she was not allowed to leave her
house in Amreli on one occasion when she was due to appear in
the family court.

Police are conducting further probe.
