Jaipur: The wedding of Yuvraj Shivraj of
Jodhpur royal family with Gayatri Kumari of Askot, will be
solemnised on Thursday here according to Hindu rituals.
The marriage function is likely to be attended by a host
of politicians, bureaucrats and celebrities. The Governor and
the Chief Minister have also been invited to the event.
"The wedding will take place in Hotel Rambagh Palace
with over 300 baraties (guests) coming from Jodhpur. The
wedding procession will leave the Ummai Bhawan Palace in
Jodhpur with traditional Nikasi this evening," Prathviraj
Singh, spokesperson of the event, told reporters Tuesday.
The traditional Rajput barat will mainly comprise the
erstwhile nobles, family friends and celebrities.
To ensure prevention of gatecrashers, special passes
will be issued to guests who have been sent invitation cards,
he said.
