UPCA sweats over fans` disinterest in Ind-SA Test Kanpur, April 09: A Test match being played after a gap of four years has failed to excite the fans here and the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has so far managed to sell only 1800 tickets for the third and final cricket Test between India and South Africa at the 40,000-capacity green park stadium.

The tickets went on sale yesterday at various branches of the State Bank of India after the UPCA decided to sell 25,000 tickets per day.

The UPCA was left dumbstruck by the low level of interest among the fans despite the tickets being reasonably priced in the range of Rs 600 and RS 20.

The UPCA cited the soaring temperatures and the exam season in schools as the reason for the disinterest among the locals.

However, the association hoped that the sales will pick up once the action gets underway from Friday.

The home side trails the three-match series 0-1.
