Huawei opens first evolution lab in Asia Pacific Hyderabad, June 29: Huawei Technologies Co, a global leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions, has launched a Long-Term Evolution (LTE) lab in Otemachi, Tokyo.

The lab, Huawei's first in Asia Pacific, will enable its research and development team in Japan to work with local operators to conduct tests on LTE systems before delivery, a company release said here today.

In addition, the unit will serve as an incubator for LTE technologies and as a training facility for the implementation and commercialisation of the next-generation wireless technology, it said.

The lab offers a full suite of the latest testing facilities, the company said.

Huawei Japan Representative and Managing Director Yan Lida, said, "by providing the best environment for innovation and training, we hope that we can contribute to our Japanese customers R&D efforts in this exciting field, and ultimately, to their continued business success."
