New Delhi: After scripting history in space, India's Mars Orbiter Mission has now captured a 3D image of Mars.

On Wednesday, Mangalyaan sent a high quality picture of Mars captured by its cameras onboard the satellite. The spacecraft is equipped with Mars Colour Camera (MCC), which is a tricolour camera that provides images and information about surface features and composition of Martian surface.

The colourful photograph of Mars has been posted by ISRO on its official Twitter account.

Here is the 3D image of Mars clicked and sent by the India's Mars spacecraft.

Before this, ISRO had uploaded regional dust storm over the Northern hemisphere of Mars taken from an altitude of 74,500 kms from the surface of Mars.

Also, India's Mars spacecraft captured the first image of the Red Planet last week.

The Rs 450-crore project of India's Mars mission is the world's cheapest space mission. India became the first Asian country to reach Mars and the first in the world to successfully place a spacecraft into the Martian orbit in its very first attempt.
