Twitter suffers partial outage on Android, mobile and desktop; back now

New York: If you are facing a problem logging into your Twitter account today, you are not alone. According to reports, Twitter users faced a temporary disconnect as it went through a partial outage. 

Users who tried to log into Twitter were met with an error message and were not able to get access to their account,according to reports.

"Something is technically wrong," the microblogging service's welcome page said. "Thanks for noticing-we're going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon." 

There have been several complaints from users of logging out of their Twitter accounts from Android apps and some third part accounts like TweetDeck.TweetDeck users reported that all their tweets show as 365 days old.

On social networking site Reddit, several users wrote they could not log in and some thought that their account had been hacked.

Only Apple iOS devices were working fine for logging into Twitter.

According to Twitter, “some users are currently having trouble signing in to twitter. Our engineers are currently working to resolve this”.

As of now, Twitter is back for most users on Desktop and mobile as well. Twitter further posted that the issue was due to a bug in the front end code, which had been patched.
