Washington: Have massive trouble getting out of bed and not willing to let go of it every morning? Is your smartphone alarm not enough to induce you out of your sweet sleep making you late for work? Then this crazy invention is designed for lazy and stubborn souls like you! Forget all alarms and say hello to this wake up device.
Inventor Colin Furze has come up with the "high voltage ejector bed," which is true to its name. When it’s time to wake up, this bed won’t take no for an answer and will literally throw you out of bed to the sound of ringing bells, trumpets and car horns.
To make the bed, Furze put together the frame, outfitted it with a hinge for flipping the sleeper up off the mattress and added pneumatic pistons to power the bed. The entire thing is powered by a massive air compressor. Users can also adjust the force from low to high, depending on how much they need to be yanked out of bed and how far they are willing to be thrown.
The project was made as a joke as part of coffee company Taylor of Harrogate's campaign for its new coffee blend, "High Voltage."
