The tricolour hoisted at the Pahari Mandir in Jharkhand's capital Ranchi is the tallest national flag in the country. The flag is 66 feet in height, 99 feet in width and it is hoisted on a 293 feet tall pole. Chief Minister Raghuwar Das had termed it as the tallest National flag of the world.

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on the occasion of birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose hoisted it for the first time.

In June this year, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao hoisted the 291-foot tricolour flag measuring 72 by 108 feet, which has been put up at Sanjeevaiah Park.

The third tallest flagpost at 82 metre (269 feet) high is in Chhattisgarh's Raipur. It is located on the marine drive around Telibandha lake.

Faridabad in Haryana also boasts of having one of the tallest National flag at the height of 250 feet.
