Islamabad: Seventeen pro-Taliban militants were killed in operations by security forces in northwest Pakistan near the Afghan border on Sunday, officials said.
Fifteen militants were killed when troops shelled rebel
hideouts in Sadda area of Kurram tribal region.
Four hideouts were destroyed during the action, officials
said.
Two militants were killed and 13 more injured in a clash
between security forces and rebels at Bara in the Khyber
tribal region, officials said.
