18 Taliban militants killed in air strike in Pak

18 Taliban rebels were killed in the restive Orakzai tribal region.

Peshawar: Eighteen Taliban rebels were
killed on Saturday when Pakistani fighter jets pounded militant
hideouts in the restive Orakzai tribal region in the country`s
northwest, officials said.

The air strikes targeted militant positions at
Arghunjo, Noor Sam Kalay, Soti, Mandati Kalay and Jandary,
killing 18 rebels and injuring 12 more.

Seven hideouts were destroyed in the bombardment,
officials said.
