Islamabad: Over 3,100 terrorists have been
arrested in Pakistan in the last three years and a majority of
them were nabbed from the restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province
in the country`s northwest.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik informed the National
Assembly, the lower house of Parliament, yesterday that the
security forces arrested 3,143 terrorists in the country and
recovered 4,240 weapons from them during the last three years.
The data showed that 2,103 terrorists, 67 per cent of
the total arrested, had been nabbed from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,
whereas 84 per cent or 3,554 of the total weapons had been

number of rocket launchers (30) had been recovered in Punjab,
