Colombo: Four Indian fishermen have been
arrested off the northern Jaffna peninsula for unauthorised
entry into the Sri Lankan waters, police said on Wednesday.

The fishermen were arrested yesterday off the northern
Jaffna peninsula with their boats and charged with
unauthorised entry to Sri Lankan waters, they said.

Sri Lanka and India share a tiny sea strip between
them where fishermen frequently cross the sea limits.

Arrested fishermen and their boats have been handed
over to the police for further action.
