A would-be suicide bomber was killed and another injured in an exchange of fire with the police in Afghanistan.

Kabul: A would-be suicide bomber was killed and another injured in an exchange of fire with the police in Afghanistan Monday.
The incident took place in Assadabad, the capital of the northeastern Kunar province.
"Two suicide bombers equipped with suicide vests and pistols were attempting to target police in Assadabad city around 8.30 a.m.," provincial police chief Awaz Mohammad Nazari told Xinhua. The injured militant has been taken into custody, he added.
