Pakistani security officials arrested two al Qaeda operatives from the southern port city of Karachi on Tuesday, according to a media report.

The two terrorists Umar Misri of Egypt and Muhammad
Muhammad rpt Muhammad Muhammad of Uzbekistan were arrested
in Sohrab Goth area of Karachi during an operation by
intelligence operatives, Geo News quoted its sources as
saying.

The two men, who entered Pakistan from Afghanistan
via the Chaman border crossing a few days ago, were traced
through their satellite phone, the channel reported.

Police seized a laptop from the men that allegedly
contained a "hit list" and details of terror plots, the report
said.

The men were sent from Karachi to Islamabad for
questioning, the channel quoted its sources as saying.
