Dhaka: The Bangladesh government Monday decided to declare income and wealth statements of the country's ministers, state ministers, deputy ministers and the people holding appointments with similar rank and comparable status, Xinhua reported.
The decision was taken at a regular cabinet meeting presided over by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Briefing reporters after the cabinet meeting, Prime minister's press secretary Abul Kalam Azad said the ministers, state minister and deputy ministers will submit their statements to the prime minister.
According to local media reports, the prime minister will then send those statements to the cabinet division after reviewing them.
The income and wealth statements will be disclosed through the website of cabinet divisions later.
