Kathmandu: A case has been filed against the
Maoists for allegedly killing a school teacher in a Nepalese
district in 2002, police said.
The district police office in Lamjug district filed a
case against the Maoists in connection with the killing of
Muktinath Adhikari, they said.
A complaint was lodged with the police by Muktinath`s
wife Indira Adhikari.
Muktinath was taken out his class in a high school in
Besisahar in Lamjung district by a group of Maoists and shot
dead in the open.
The Maoists had earlier tried to extort money from
Muktinath, which he had refused to pay.
Indira filed a complaint against Devendra Poudel and his
group, who were allegedly involved in the killing.
