Beijing: China today asked its citizens in
Pakistan to take precautionary measures after 227 Chinese were
left stranded in flood-hit areas in the country, where over
1,000 people have died due to heavy rains.
Floods triggered by torrential rains have hit some
Chinese-funded projects in Pakistan, trapping Chinese staff
and causing economic losses, the Commerce Ministry (MOC)
said in a statement.
The ministry asked Chinese people and companies in
Pakistan closely monitor the flood situation and take
precautionary measures to protect themselves.
The MOC said yesterday China will give 10 million yuan
