Islamabad: Pakistani authorities found a box with 10 kg of explosives and a timer in a passenger train in central Punjab province, causing panic among the passengers.
However, they managed to defuse the device before it could blow up.

The explosive device was found in the Shah Rukn-e-Aalam train when members of a bomb disposal squad were checking it this morning, railway officials said.

The seizure of the device caused panic among passengers.

Officials said the bomb could have caused significant damage if it had exploded.
