Peshawar: At least 10 people, including the brother of a former minister, were killed and six others wounded in two separate incidents in Pakistan`s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday.
Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister for labour and manpower minister Bakht Baidar`s brother and five others including two policemen died and three others wounded in a gunfire by terrorists at Bedar`s residence in Dir Lower District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bordering Bajaur agency.
Baidar, belonging to the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), was not present in his residence at the time of the attack.
Baidar`s slain brother was a former nazim of Chakdara and a contender of the QWP from Lower Dir`s NA-36 constituency.
The injured have been admitted to an area hospital.
In the other incident in Karak district in the province, four people were killed and three wounded in exchange of fire between two groups over old enmity.
A case has been registered against unknown persons and police have launched an operation to arrest the killers.
