Four Danish soldiers injured in Afghanistan attack: Military

An explosive device that blew up a passing Danish armoured vehicle in Afghanistan wounded four soldiers, the Danish military said on Wednesday.

a passing Danish armoured vehicle in Afghanistan wounded four
soldiers, the Danish military said on Wednesday.
The four soldiers were taken to Camp Bastion field
hospital at Danish headquarters in the southern Helmand
province. One left after receiving treatment, the Danish Army
Operational Command said. It did not give details on the three
other soldiers.

The incident occurred in Helmand province, northwest of
the Budwan advanced based.

Since the start of May, 18 Danish soldiers have been
injured in ambushes and bomb attacks in Afghanistan, where
there are 750 Danish troops in NATO`s International Security
Assistance Force. Most are in Helmand province under
British command.
Twenty-nine Danish soldiers have been killed in
Afghanistan since the deployment began. The Scandinavian
country of 5.5 million people has suffered more deaths than
any other country as a proportion of the number of troops it
has in the ISAF.

Two other Danish soldiers have died in Afghanistan
outside of combat, one of a heart attack. The other committed
suicide.
