Four shot dead by gunmen in NW Pak

Four people were shot dead today when unidentified gunmen opened fire on a car in Khyber Pakthunkhwa Province of northwest Pakistan while four terrorists were killed by security forces during a search operation in the restive region.

Peshawar: Four people were shot dead today when unidentified gunmen opened fire on a car in Khyber Pakthunkhwa Province of northwest Pakistan while four terrorists were killed by security forces during a search operation in the restive region.

Unidentified armed men intercepted a car in Tehkal area of Peshawar and started indiscriminate firing, killing four persons and injuring two others, police said.

The attackers drove off from the scene after the shooting.

According to Police, personal enmity was the motive behind the incident.

In another incident in the restive region, four terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces during a search operation in Bannu district bordering North Waziristan agency.

The security forces were conducting search operation upon receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the area.

Meanwhile, 20 terror suspects were arrested during a search operation in Hangu district.
