Getting back to business as usual with Pak: US
American diplomat Raymond Davis was arrested in Lahore on murder charges.
Washington: The US-Pakistan relationship is back on track after release of the American diplomat Raymond Davis, who was arrested in Lahore on murder charges, a State Department official has said.
"I would say we`re getting back to business as usual in terms of cooperating with the Pakistani Government and the Pakistani people in trying to forward our agenda there, which is to build institutions and capacity to bring greater economic prosperity and political freedom there," State Department spokesman Mark Toner said.
"In the days immediately following the resolution of Mr Davis`s case, we were certainly on a heightened security awareness, but there`s been no measures to reduce our footprint in Pakistan," Toner said when asked if the US has pulled out its personnel from Pakistan.
The spokesman said he is not aware if Pakistan has given to the US a list of people that they were going to declare persona non grata.
